Its formula contains:

255 mg of DHA per day, provided by EPAX® fish oil in triglyceride form. DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal vision*;
lutein and zeaxanthin, two carotenoids naturally found in the macula;
a complex combining vitamins C, D3 and E and microencapsulated zinc. Vitamins C and E, as well as zinc, contribute to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.

Retinal aging refers to the natural changes that occur in the retina with age. The macula, located at the center of the retina, plays an essential role in the vision of details, colors, and faces.

Over time, retinal cells can gradually become weaker. It is then possible to notice less sharp vision, a decrease in contrast perception, an increased need for light to read, or more pronounced glare.

A varied and balanced diet helps provide the nutrients necessary for normal vision. With age, it is important to ensure sufficient intake of certain nutrients.

Located in the center of the retina, the macula plays an essential role in central vision (or fine vision). It allows us to distinguish details, read, recognize faces, and perceive colors accurately.

The macula naturally concentrates two pigments, lutein and zeaxanthin. These carotenoids, supplied exclusively through diet, are present in high concentrations in the macula, where they help filter part of the light.

Omega-3s, and more specifically DHA, are found mainly in fatty cold-water fish such as salmon, mackerel, sardines, herring, and anchovies. Eating fish once or twice a week is generally recommended as part of a varied and balanced diet. DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal vision with a daily intake of 250 mg.
